Heute vor einem Jahr saß dermeckerling (dm) gemütlich auf der Couch, guckte Blödsinn im TV und genehmigte sich ein – drei Weizensmoothies. Eine Frage an ein Küstenkind aus dem Vorort von Hansemecker (Und, fit für den Halbmarathon?) via facebook und 1 x Schlafen später, war der Büroathlet aus Versehen auch für den Lauf angemeldet.
Damit dm dieses Jahr nicht erst 16 km auf ein Erfolgserlebnis warten muss, hat er sich seit dem Zieldurchlauf in 2015 durchgängig und hochprofessionell auf das in zwei Tagen stattfindende Ereignis vorbereitet.
Büroathletik- & Treppentraining (Pendelläufe zum Kopierer), Laufanalysen (Olympia), Ernährungsumstellung (Pizza nur noch 2 x die Woche), Weizensmoothies, Höhentrainingslager im Teutoburger Wald, ignorieren des Trainingsplans des Senseis sowie exzessives Windowshopping beim Laufpunktladen des Vetrauens – mehr geht nicht.
Das renommierte schottische „Lochgelly Marathon Team“ (LMT) stattete das Nachwuchslauftalent (#themeckistheuprisingwhitekenyan; hashtag of the week @dirtymiddn.co.uk) für dieses Jahr mit einem feinen Leibchen aus Oligoyester und passender Kappe aus, und ist mehr als stolz und überzeugt, dass #themeck das LMT beim SWB-Halbmarathon würdig vertreten wird.

One year ago, I sat on my couch, had a couple of malt-smoothies and asked a friend of mine whether he’s ready for the running-competition. One day later I’ve registered as well and picture 1 shows how it went.
After a hard year of practice with officeathletics and stairruns, videoanalysis (Olympic Games), Pizza only every second day, more malt-smoothies, ignoring the trainer and excessive windowshopping at jd-sports made me feel awesome for sunday.
The renomated „Lochgelly Marathon Team“ gave me a contract and a nice dress and they are convinced that #themeck is going to do well and will be a honourable representative for LMT.
